We are still the last surviving independent cast- iron all-weather ever- optimistic still expanding flood- damaged no- budget home video bona fide 100% home- made from natural ingredients oldest- established permanent floating Anglo- French funk band in the South (of England) - PARISIAN LIVING!
The drums, bass, some guitar and saxophone parts, and guide vocals for "MIAPU" were recorded at Studio Tom (alias Timski and Louise's ski chalet "Le Mouille Fetu") in Argentiere in the French Alps back in May 2006.
Tracks were overdubbed and mixed down by engineer, guest guitarist and former Parizzo, Manic Mike at his Snakepit Sounds and Heavy Glow studios.
Finalising was entrusted to the once young and keen but now old and jaded ears of Adam Whittaker of SpaceRay Music in his mixing suite "The Boom Boom Room" in Cluj- Napoca, Transylvania, Romania. Parisian Living songwriter and prime mover Mike travelled to the city for these sessions. Adam has a long history with the band, having also engineered and co- produced our "Viva" and "Another Load From The Muthalode" albums.
Our previous albums "Beyond The Dreams Of Avarice"(1986) "Negative Entropy"(1992) "Viva" (1995) and "Another Load From The Muthalode" (2001) have had nice reviews and scored the band two great festival appearances in France, not to mention ten plays on college radio station WVOF in Fairfield, Connecticut, USA.
"Another Load From The Muthalode" is also available on CD and from your favourite download provider, thanks to our wonderful web distributor CD Baby of Portland, Oregon, USA.
